Jeffrey Sachs Brings Real Politics to the EU Parliament

Jeffrey Sachs is an American economist, academic, and public policy analyst known for his work on economic development, poverty reduction, and sustainability. He has advised governments and international organizations, including the UN, on economic policies. Sachs played a key role in the transition of post-Soviet economies to market systems and was a leading advocate for the UN’s Millennium Development Goals. Currently, he is a professor at Columbia University and directs the Center for Sustainable Development. Thanks to MEP Michael von der Schulenburg for organising the event.

Jeffrey Sachs un homme qui, comme Stiglitz, est revenu de ses chimères néolibérales, pour devenir un homme lucide et raisonnable. Une voix qui compte, justement parce qu’il vient du monde des créateurs du désordre post-chute du mur.
C’est quand même à ça qu’on reconnaît l’intelligence : à sa capacité à faire son auto-critique.
J’aime beaucoup sa critique de la « childish propaganda » soit une propagande puérile.
J’en profite pour donner les deux principes de Pascal Bonaiface, le géopolitiste : « connais toi toi-même et tes limites » ; « accepte que les autres soient différents de toi ».
Il me semble que Sachs fait partie de cette trempe.
